A Great Choice for a Family Bathroom
A recent customer wanted a family bathroom revamp but had a love for traditional, homely features too. Trying to keep this in mind we assisted the customer in choosing the right tiles for their project. They wanted something that wouldn’t look dated in a few years’ time but still wanted a striking feature in there too. We teamed a contemporary wall tile with a patterned floor tile, which is highly on-trend right now, to create an old meets new feel to the room.
For the walls they opted for one of our newest tiles ‘Choice’ which is a heavily patterned, stone effect tile available in a light grey. There is also a décor tile which is textured to touch and available in the light grey to match the plain tile or a darker grey to create a contrast which the customer preferred for their bathroom. The effect of using the contrasting colours makes it eye-catching but not too fussy as to not detract from the floor tiles. These tiles are 30x61cm in size which helps the bathroom feel bigger due to there being less grout lines to close the space in.
We love a good patterned floor at Rees Tiles, as do our customer who selected ‘Degas Blanco’ from the Art Collection by Pamesa. The Art collection is a set of 22x22cm tiles that feature patchwork, geometric and nature inspired patterns and bring elements excitement to a room. Degas Blanco is made up of White, Black and Grey with a geometric design to it and the colour ways in it work wonderfully with the Choice tiles used on the walls.
We think the overall finish looks stunning, bringing in elements of traditional patterns with cool, contemporary greys.
