Cornerhouse, Lancaster

If you've been to The Cornerhouse Lancaster you may have noticed that they have some very striking and interesting floor tiles in place. When The Cornerhouse was revamped they asked us for tiles that would stand the test of time, be eye-catching but not date easily. The main entrance area is tiled in ‘FS Star’ by Peronda, a vintage looking tile with an off-white background and black ornate stars. This tile looks stunning and adds warmth and character to the main entrance. The tile is continued inside for a short distance past the doorway to accommodate the miniature children’s entrance.

Once inside, you’re greeted by a warm wood floor and tasteful décor accompanied by snug booths, free standing tables and chairs and a welcoming bar area. The floor both behind the bar and around the front is tiled in ‘FS Melange’ by Peronda. This patchwork patterned tile has brown tones that compliment the wood floor really well, as well as whites and blues. To complete the bar area, The Cornerhouse have used a simple white ‘Metro’ tile to run along the front of the bar and around the back of the bar near the pumps and spirits. A really smart and successful refurb which we were pleased to be involved in.
